Study To Shew Thyself Approved Unto God

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Every Christian has an obligation to have a lifelong learning attitude. No one has learnt everything that they need nothing to learn. The Bible admonishes us to study to show ourselves approved unto God.

The Bible is packaged with great wisdom for life and eternity. This wisdom has to be unpackaged through the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Bible was written by people inspired by God. There is none who has contradicted the major theme of the Bible – reconciliation of the world to God!

An effective Minister is a Bible scholar. This study is what approves us. A well prepared sermon is effective to the hearers. Ministers ought to study skillfully to deliver liberating sermons. A copied sermon is devoid of power and good delivery. This is a mistake that is done so often.

Let’s continue studying the scriptures. Never be in a hurry to make conclusions after an emotional thought. The message is clear and must be delivered as is without mutilation.
